Description

This is an introductory one day program that helps participants successfully transition from individual contributor to a first line Supervisor/Team Leader.

This program aims to build a level of self-awareness around individual leadership behaviours and the subsequent impact on individual contributors that are part of a team.

The program also focuses on basic communication techniques and skills introduces participants to skills around planning and assigning tasks and a consultative approach to solving workplace problems.

This program focuses on 4 key modules:

  • Leadership behaviours including self awareness and the impact of our behaviours on others
  • Introduction to the legal and ethical responsibilities of being a Supervisor or a Team Leader including and introduction to Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Bullying.
  • Introduction to workplace communication and the critical nature of this skill
  • Introduction to managing performance, both good and bad.
